Skin Cancer Removal

Service Description

The NHS generally offers a rapid diagnosis of skin cancer but unfortunately the waiting list for treatment can be quite lengthy. In particular, basal cell carcinoma removal can take several months or longer to be operated on. If you have concerns that you may have skin cancer, it is highly advised to have the lesion removed as soon as possible. During the consultation with our plastic surgeon, Miss Kelemen, you will be inspected using a dermatoscope. If possible, the lesion can be removed within the same session. If removal is not immediately possible, then a sample can be removed (via incision) and sent to a histology lab, which will determine the nature and severity of the skin cancer. Once we get the results back, you will be informed of the results and given the option to return to our clinic and have the whole lesion removed with the correct margins. Prices will vary depending on the severity of the case. Consultation costs £150.
